Brass Hose Tail Tee

A hose tail tee splits one hose into two, or merges two into one, with a barb on all three legs. There is no thread anywhere on it, so it goes into the middle of a hose run rather than onto a port.

Compatibility and fitting

• Size each leg on the inside diameter of the hose it takes
• Clamp every leg; three barbs means three hose clamps
• For a threaded branch use a screwed brass tee instead
• Support the tee so its weight is not hanging on the hose ends

Does the branch have to be the same size?

Not necessarily. A reducing tee lets a smaller branch leave a larger run, which is usually what an irrigation or fuel return line actually needs.

Is it rated for pressure?

It is a low pressure fitting. On anything carrying real pressure, use threaded fittings and a properly rated assembly rather than three barbs and clamps.
