Types of poly, nylon and John Guest fittings we stock
- John Guest push-fit tube: 12 mm and 15 mm blue, red and black tube cut by the metre, with matching 12 mm John Guest fittings and 15 mm John Guest fittings.
- Nylon hose tails and elbows: hose tail x male BSP, 90 degree tail elbows, joiners, reducing joiners, hose tees and hose elbows from 4 mm (1/8") to 16 mm (5/8").
- Nylon BSP pipe fittings: nipples, reducing nipples, sockets, reducing sockets, female tees, male-female and female-female elbows, caps, plugs and reducing bushes from 1/2" to 2".
- Nut and tail sets: nylon nut and hose tail x female BSP from 1/2" to 1 1/2" for pump and tank connections.
- Tank and IBC fittings: nylon BSP tank fittings from 1/2" to 2", and IBC adapters to 2" male BSP, 2" female BSP and male camlock.

Choosing the right poly or nylon fitting
- Size: push-fit fittings are sized on the tube outside diameter, while barbed nylon tails are sized on the hose inside diameter.
- Thread: nylon threaded fittings are BSP, so match male to female and seal with tape or a washer.
- Compatibility: nylon and poly shrug off corrosion and suit water, fertiliser and mild chemical service. Ask us before running fuel, solvents or hot lines.
- Pressure and temperature: plastic loses strength as temperature climbs, so move to brass or stainless for hot water and higher-pressure duty.
- Assembly: push John Guest tube fully home past the O-ring, and clamp barbed nylon tails with a worm-drive clamp rather than relying on the barb alone.
