About Hose Reels

A retractable hose reel does two jobs: it keeps a hose off the floor where it gets driven over, and it puts the hose back where it belongs without anyone coiling it. Hose Suppliers Australia stocks retractable stainless steel reels, Recoila air, water and hot water reels, and wall-mounted fire hose reels, all dispatched from our Brisbane warehouse.

Types of hose reel we stock

• Retractable stainless steel hose reels: the hose pulls out to length and retracts back onto the drum. Available with 3/8" hose to 60 m, 1/2" hose in 25 m and 35 m, and 3/4" hose in 13 m, 18 m, 20 m, 25 m and 35 m.
• Recoila air and water reels: 10 mm x 15 m, 10 mm x 20 m, 12 mm x 15 m and 12 mm x 18 m, for compressed air lines and cold water in workshops and service vehicles.
• Recoila hot water reels: 10 mm x 20 m and 12 mm x 15 m, including a 12 mm x 15 m reel supplied with a wash down gun for kitchens, dairies and wash bays.
• Fire hose reels: 20 mm x 36 m wall-mounted reels in red, green and lilac, wound by hand and supplied complete with valve and nozzle.

Choosing the right hose reel

• Size: match the reel to the hose bore you already run, 10 mm and 12 mm for air and light water, 1/2" and 3/4" for wash down, 20 mm for a fire reel.
• Length: measure the longest run from the mounting point, then allow extra so the hose is not pulled tight against the drum.
• Temperature: use a hot water reel and hot water wash down hose for heated water, and an air or water reel for cold service.
• Mounting: reels are fixed to a wall or frame, so check the swing of the hose and the position of the supply before you drill.
• Nozzle: finish the line with a gun or jet from our nozzle range.
