About John Guest Fittings & Hose
John Guest hose and fittings are the push-fit system caravanners, plumbers and beverage techs use when they want a secure joint without tools. Cut the tube square, push in an insert, push the tube into the fitting and the collet grips it. - Tube by the metre: John Guest blue, red and black tube, cut to length, in 12 mm and 15 mm so you can colour code cold, hot and general lines.
- 12 mm fittings: equal straight, elbow and tee connectors, bulkhead connectors, 3/8" and 1/2" male and female BSP adaptors including a brass adaptor, shut off valves, tube inserts, locking clips, pipe saddles and plugs.
- 15 mm fittings: joiners, elbows, tees and end caps, 1/2" male and female BSP adaptors, shut off valves, tube inserts, locking collars and pipe saddles.

Choosing the right John Guest fittings
- Size: the number is the tube outside diameter, so a 12 mm fitting only takes 12 mm tube. Check before you order a boxful.
- Thread: adaptors are BSP, in male and female, so confirm which one your tap, pump or filter housing needs.
- Inserts and clips: use an insert in every flexible tube end, and a locking clip or collar on lines that get knocked.
- Compatibility: the fittings suit John Guest tube and approved polyethylene tube of the same outside diameter.
- Isolation: fit a shut off valve at the tank or pump so you can work on a line without draining the system.
