About Food & Beverage Hoses
Food grade hose has two jobs: move the product without tainting it, and clean up afterwards. Hose Suppliers Australia stocks food and beverage hose in PVC and rubber from 10 mm to 76 mm for wine, beer, juice, milk, drinking water and food processing lines, cut to length in our Brisbane warehouse.
Types of food grade hose we stock
- Clear wire helix food suction hose: 10 mm to 50 mm, fully clear so you can watch the product move and confirm the line has drained.
- PVC food suction hose, black and clear: 25 mm to 63 mm with a black helix and a clear wall.
- PVC food suction hose, red and clear: 25 mm to 76 mm, the common winery and brewery transfer hose.
- Rubber food suction hose: 25 mm to 63 mm where the hose is dragged, coiled and cleaned hard.
Choosing the right food and beverage hose
- Size: order by inside diameter to match the pump port, then choose a length in one or two metre steps rather than joining offcuts.
- Suction or delivery: a wire helix keeps the bore open on a pump inlet, while a delivery-only line can use a lighter hose.
- Clear or opaque: a clear wall shows flow, sediment and air locks; rubber lasts longer where the hose is dragged across concrete.
- Compatibility: these hoses are made for water-based food and drink products, so ask us before running spirits, oils, solvents or hot cleaning cycles.
- Fittings: stainless camlocks and stainless hose tails are the usual ends, clamped with a band wide enough not to cut the wall.
