About Nitto Quick Connect Couplings
Nitto quick connect couplings are the standard on Australian workshop air lines: push the plug into the socket and it locks and seals in one movement, pull the sleeve back and it releases. Hose Suppliers Australia stocks the sockets and plugs in the three sizes that cover most trade work, with hose tail, male BSP and female BSP ends.
Nitto couplings we stock
- Hose tail sockets and plugs: female x hose (20SH, 30SH, 40SH) and male x hose (20PH, 30PH, 40PH) for fitting straight onto air hose.
- Male BSP ends: male x MBSP and female x MBSP, the PM and SM codes, in the 20, 30 and 40 series for screwing into a tool, manifold or regulator.
- Female BSP ends: male x FBSP (20PF, 30PF, 40PF) and female x FBSP (20SF, 30SF, 40SF) for a male threaded outlet.
Choosing the right Nitto coupling
- Size: 20 is 1/4", 30 is 3/8" and 40 is 1/2". Match the coupling to the hose and the tool so you do not restrict flow.
- Plug or socket: the socket normally goes on the supply side and the plug on the tool, so a disconnected tool leaves the line shut.
- End: hose tail for a direct hose fit, BSP for a threaded outlet, with a hose clamp on every tail.
- Media: suits air, water, oil and inert gas; check the hose is rated for the same service.
