About Hose Clamps
A hose clamp is only as good as its band, its screw and its fit. Hose Suppliers Australia stocks the hose clamps trades rely on: worm-drive stainless steel clamps for general service, band clamps for automotive and marine work, super clamps for high-pressure suction and delivery hose, and T-bolt clamps for silicone radiator and intercooler hose. Most sizes are on the shelf in our Brisbane warehouse.
Types of hose clamps we stock
- Stainless steel worm-drive clamps: all-stainless band, housing and screw for corrosion resistance on water, fuel and marine lines.
- Super clamps (heavy-duty bolt clamps): wide stainless band with a zinc or stainless steel bolt for suction hose, layflat hose and large-bore delivery hose where a worm drive cannot generate enough force.
- T-bolt clamps: constant, even pressure for silicone hose, intercooler pipes and turbo joins; the right partner for our silicone hoses.
- Spring and ear clamps: for fuel line and small-bore hose where a fixed diameter is required.
Choosing the right hose clamp
- Size: measure the outside diameter of the hose once it is pushed onto the fitting, then choose a clamp whose range sits around the middle of that measurement. Each product lists its clamping range in millimetres.
- Material: part-stainless clamps (stainless band, zinc-plated screw) suit dry, indoor and automotive use; all-stainless (W4) clamps are the choice for marine, wash-down, food and outdoor applications.
- Band: non-perforated bands protect soft hose such as silicone and PVC from cutting; perforated bands are fine on rubber and reinforced hose.
- Pressure: for suction and high-pressure delivery hose move up to a super clamp or T-bolt clamp rather than doubling up worm-drive clamps.
