12mm John Guest Adapters

The 12 mm adaptor range is where a push fit line meets BSP thread. Five parts cover it: 12 mm x 3/8 inch MBSP JGPM011203E, 12 mm x 1/2 inch MBSP JGPM011204E, the brass 12 mm x 1/2 inch MBSP JGRM011214, 12 mm x 3/8 inch FBSP JGCM451213FS and 12 mm x 1/2 inch FBSP JGCM451214FS.

Compatibility and fitting

• MBSP is the male thread and screws into a female port; FBSP is the female and receives a male tail
• The 12 mm describes the tube, the 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch describes the thread; the two are independent
• Read the port before ordering, since a male-to-male pairing will not go together

Does the tube size have to match the thread size?

No, and assuming it does is the usual ordering mistake. A 12 mm tube can land on a 3/8 inch or a 1/2 inch thread; pick the thread from the port on the pump, tap or filter housing and the 12 mm from the tube already in the run.

When is the brass adaptor the right one?

Brass is stocked on the 1/2 inch male size as JGRM011214, with acetal as JGPM011204E in the same size and thread. Both go onto 12 mm tube; the choice is the body material the installation calls for.
