12mm John Guest Shut Off Valve

An inline isolating valve with a 12 mm push fit socket at each end and a manual lever, part JGPPMSV041212W. Put one either side of a filter housing or a pump and a cartridge change stops being a job that starts with draining the tank. The body is acetal copolymer and suits potable water.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes 12 mm outside diameter tube on both sides, the same tube as the rest of the 12 mm range
• Fit a 12 mm tube insert into soft tube before the collet closes on it
• Landing on a threaded port means an adaptor: BSP in 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch

Where should the valve sit in the run?

Upstream of whatever you expect to service, and somewhere the lever can be reached with the panel on. A valve behind a fixed locker wall is a valve nobody uses, and the line then gets isolated at the tank instead.

Will this valve take 15 mm tube?

No. The sockets are cut for 12 mm outside diameter, so a 12 mm line takes JGPPMSV041212W and a 15 mm line takes the 15 mm valve from the 15mm John Guest fittings collection.
