15mm John Guest Pipe Saddle

JGPC15W is a white acetal saddle made for 15 mm pipe. It clips over the pipe and takes one screw, which is enough to stop a line wandering across a locker floor or wearing through where it passes a bulkhead. Movement and vibration are what displace tube on a mobile installation, and a saddle is the cheapest answer to both.

Compatibility and fitting

• Clips over 15 mm outside diameter tube, blue or red
• A 12 mm run takes the smaller saddle in the same range
• Fix one where the line turns into a 1/2 inch BSP adaptor so the thread is not holding the run

How many saddles does a run need?

Enough that the pipe is carried rather than hanging. In practice that means one either side of a change of direction, one where the run crosses a frame member, and one near every fitting so the joint is not taking the load.

Does it fit 12 mm pipe as well?

No, the saddle is shaped for one diameter. JGPC15W holds 15 mm pipe and the smaller saddle holds 12 mm, so order to the tube already installed rather than to the fitting size.
