20mm Hot Water Wash Down Hose

20mm hot water wash down hose (RHW20) is the wash bay size: enough bore to move volume through a gun at the end of a 20m run, rated to +100 deg C so it holds up on a hot line rather than going soft. It is the hose used over wash bays, workshop and kitchen sinks, and dairy wash down, with a white RMA Class A rubber tube and cover that resists oil and cleans off.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes a 20mm hose tail; hold it with a worm drive clamp from the clamp range
• Nuts, tails and camlocks to suit are in the brass and stainless fittings range and the camlock range
• Pair it with an hot water wash down gun; the gun's rating, not the hose's, sets the ceiling for the line

Do I need 20mm or 12mm?

Bore decides flow, not pressure. At 20mm the hose delivers noticeably more water at the gun over a long run, which is what a wash bay needs; at 12mm it is lighter to drag and easier to coil, which is what a laundry line needs. Both carry the same 20 bar and the same +100 deg C rating.

Can it sit on a hose reel?

Yes. It is a delivery hose, so it can be wound onto a reel and pulled off under pressure. Wind it on without twist and keep the reel drum diameter generous, since rubber hose kinks at a tight radius and a kink is where a hot water hose eventually splits.
