25mm Clear Vinyl Tube

25mm clear vinyl tube (part CVT25) is a large bore clear tube for volume transfer at low pressure, where being able to see the flow is worth more than pressure capability: sump pumps, tank drains, and process lines in food and brewing. The tube is unreinforced virgin PVC with a light blue tint, so the line stays soft, bends easily and lets you see exactly what is moving through it.

• Working pressure 0.2 MPa (29 psi) at 20°C
• Operating temperature -5°C to +60°C
• Clear with a blue tint, so flow and blockages are visible
• Virgin PVC conforming to AS/NZS 2070 for plastics in food contact, and EU RoHS compliant
• Good chemical resistance and a moderate level of UV protection
• Supplied cut to length or as a full coil (30 m)

Compatibility and fitting

• Sizing is by inside diameter: 25mm tube fits a 25mm barb or spigot
• Secure with a hose clamp or crimp ferrule sized to the 31mm outside diameter
• Warming the end in hot water makes it far easier to push onto a tight barb
• For pressure work choose a reinforced hose from the PVC hose range rather than unreinforced tube

Can I run a pump on this?

On the discharge side of a low head pump, yes, within the 29 psi rating. Unreinforced tube will collapse on the suction side of anything with real lift, so use a reinforced suction hose there.
