316 Stainless Steel Ball Valve – 3 Piece

A three piece 316 stainless steel ball valve: the body is bolted together, so the centre section can be opened for cleaning or a seat change rather than the whole valve being thrown away. Full flow bore, BSP threaded ends and a 1000 psi rating, in nine sizes from BVSS3P12 at 12 mm to BVSS3P100 at 100 mm.

Why pay more for a bolted body?

Because of what happens after it is installed. The centre section comes out for cleaning or a seat change, which turns the valve into a serviceable item instead of a consumable. On a food or brewery line that is the whole argument; on a plant water line the two piece body does the same duty for less.

Is it the same bore as the two piece valve?

Both are published as full flow with BSP threaded ends and both are rated to 1000 psi. The bodies differ at the ends of the range: three piece runs 12 mm to 100 mm, two piece runs 6 mm to 80 mm.
