90mm Marine Wet Exhaust Hose

Wet exhaust is a low pressure system, and the 3 bar (43.5 psi) rating on RMWE090 is there for back pressure and for the surge when a following sea pushes water back up the pipe, not for pumped duty. At 90 mm bore, keeping that back pressure low is mostly about not restricting the run, which is where the smooth exhaust-gas resistant tube and the steel wire helix holding the bore round both earn their place.

• Keep the bore constant along the run; a step down at one joint adds back pressure to the whole system

Why is the pressure rating only 3 bar?

A wet exhaust never sees pump pressure. The 3 bar (43.5 psi) figure covers back pressure and water surging up the line, which is the loading the hose actually meets in service.
