Description
Tridon stainless steel hose clamps with a perforated band are the general-purpose worm-drive clamp for water, fuel, air and marine hose. The band, housing and screw are all stainless steel (301 band and housing, 305 screw), so there is no zinc-plated part to rust in wet or salty conditions. The range runs from 6-16 mm to 298-349 mm across a thin band (parts MAH004 to MAH016) and a wide band (parts HAS006 to HAS212), all made in Australia to SAE J1508 and stocked in our Brisbane warehouse. Full specifications are listed below.
Key features
- All-stainless construction: 301 stainless steel band and housing, 305 stainless steel screw
- Thin band in seven sizes from 6-16 mm to 18-38 mm for small-bore fuel, vacuum and water lines
- Wide band in 31 sizes from 11-22 mm to 298-349 mm for pump, ducting and large-bore hose
- Low free torque for easy installation and high strength for reliable sealing
- Manufactured in Australia to SAE J1508
Applications
- Marine engine cooling, bilge and deck wash hose
- Automotive radiator, heater, fuel and air intake hose
- Agricultural pumps, spray lines and irrigation hose
- Chemical and wash-down lines in food and industrial plants
Compatibility and fitting
Size the clamp to the outside diameter of the hose once it is pushed over the fitting, and pick a range that sits around the middle of that measurement. Perforated bands suit rubber and reinforced PVC hose such as our rubber hoses and PVC hoses. For soft silicone hose or high-pressure suction hose, where a perforated band can cut in or cannot generate enough force, use a T-bolt clamp from the hose clamps range instead.
Frequently asked questions
Are these clamps rust proof? Every part of the clamp is stainless steel, which makes them the right choice for marine, wash-down and outdoor service. Clamps with a zinc-plated screw will corrode in the same conditions.
What is the difference between a perforated and a solid band clamp? A perforated band has slots the worm screw engages, giving a wide adjustment range. A solid band, as on a T-bolt clamp, is kinder to soft hose under heat and pressure.
