Brass Mini Ball Valve BSP Threaded General Purpose

Mini ball valves in brass for the small isolation points every system collects: a gauge tapping, a dosing line, a blow gun drop off an air main. Five BSP sizes from 1/8" to 3/4", each held in two thread patterns, female to female as BVM02 through BVM20 and male to female as BVMMF02 through BVMMF20.

Compatibility and fitting

• The male to female pattern screws straight into a female port and leaves a female thread facing out

F/F or M/F: which one do I need?

Count the threads you already have. Female to female needs a male thread presented on both sides, so it sits between two nipples. Male to female screws directly into a female port and presents a female thread on the other end, which saves a nipple and the length that goes with it.

Does the valve size have to match my hose?

No. The size on a mini ball valve is the BSP thread, not the hose it feeds. A 1/2" valve takes a 1/2" BSP thread; if hose is joining to it you still need a tail of the right barb size, and those two numbers are allowed to differ.
