Standard Compression Female Connector

The female connector (Brass No. 10) takes a tube onto a male threaded outlet. It is the mirror of the male connector and the one you want when the equipment already presents a male thread, which most pumps, valves and compressor outlets do.

Compatibility and fitting

• The female thread screws onto a male outlet; if your port is female you want the male connector
• Seal the thread with tape or sealant suited to the fluid
• The compression end takes a nut and olive sized to the tube
• Fit a spiggot in nylon tube and on high pressure joints

Female connector or male connector?

Look at the equipment. A male thread sticking out of it takes this female connector. A female port takes the male connector. The connector is always the opposite of the port.

Does it need thread tape?

On a tapered thread, yes, or a liquid sealant rated for the fluid. On a parallel thread with a bonded seal, no.
