Glass Fibre Reinforced Ball Valve

A ball valve with a glass fibre reinforced body and female BSP connections, for water supply, irrigation and light industrial service where a metal valve would corrode. The reinforcement is what separates it from a plain plastic valve: the body takes handling and spanner load better while staying much lighter than brass. Six sizes, BVGR12 at 12 mm through BVGR50 at 50 mm.

What pressure is it rated to?

The supplier quotes the rating per size rather than one number across the range, so ask us for the size you are fitting instead of assuming a range figure. If you need a published number today, the PVC ball valve is listed at 800 kPa across all eight of its sizes.

Glass fibre reinforced or PVC?

Both keep metal out of the line. The reinforced body is the tougher moulding and the better choice where the valve gets handled or knocked. PVC carries the published 800 kPa figure and covers 65 mm and 80 mm, two sizes beyond where this range stops.
