Description
Read this first: the supplier states this gun is not suitable for food processing wash down applications. It is a general industrial and agricultural hot water gun, rated to a maximum temperature of 82°C, with a chrome plated all zinc body, a heavy duty brass valve and adjusting nut and an industrial strength nylon handle. Pressure is 90 PSI and flow is 23 L/min through a 3/4" FBSP inlet fitted with a washer. The threaded GHT front version carries a rubber head guard.
Key features
- Maximum temperature 82°C
- Pressure 90 PSI, flow rate 23 L/min
- Chrome plated all zinc body
- Heavy duty brass valve and adjusting nut
- Industrial strength nylon handle
- Rubber head guard on the threaded GHT front version
- Inlet 3/4" FBSP with washer
- Stock code HWN
Applications
- Workshop and plant room wash down
- Agricultural yard and machinery cleaning
- Vehicle and equipment washing
- General hot water rinsing outside food areas
- Site sheds and amenity cleaning
Compatibility and fitting
- Screws onto a 3/4" male BSP hose tail or tap adaptor with the supplied washer; see brass fittings
- Feed it with a hose rated for the water temperature, such as hot water wash down hose
- For food-grade areas choose a sealed gun from water guns instead
Why can it not be used in food processing?
The supplier excludes it from food processing wash down. A metal-bodied gun with an exposed valve has crevices that hold soil and cannot be cleaned down to a hygienic standard, which is why the sealed plastic-bodied RB35 and RB65 guns exist for those areas.
How does it compare with the RB65?
This gun is rated 82°C at 90 PSI. The RB65 is rated to 90°C and 350 PSI in a sealed plastic body, so it is the one for sustained hot washing in a food plant.
