12mm John Guest Connectors

Four 12 mm John Guest connector bodies on one page: the equal straight JGPM0412E, the equal elbow JGPM0312E, the equal tee JGPM0212E and the bulkhead JGPM1212E for a through-panel connection. Each is a tool-free collet joint, made and remade by hand, which is what makes a caravan or boat water layout something you can change on the job.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sizing is on tube outside diameter: a 12 mm body takes 12 mm tube whatever the wall thickness
• None of the four carries a thread, so BSP pipework is reached through the adaptor range
• Soft tube wants an insert in the end before it is pushed home
• Full range in 12mm John Guest fittings, with 15 mm equivalents in the 15mm range

What does a bulkhead connector do that a straight one cannot?

It anchors. A straight connector joins two lengths in free air and rides on the tube. The bulkhead JGPM1212E is made for through panel connections, so the joint is carried by the locker face or tank wall instead of by the plumbing.

Do I need a different connector for red, blue or black tube?

No. The colours share one outside diameter, so the same 12 mm body suits all of them. Choose the colour for identification, the connector for the shape of the run.
