John Guest Blue Tube

John Guest blue tube is Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) sold in two outside diameters: 12 mm as JGPE12100B and 15 mm as JGTB15. Can John Guest blue tube carry hot water?

Intermittent hot only. John Guest specifies LLDPE for cold service with occasional hot flow, so a line that sits hot continuously needs something else. Nothing in the published data gives this tube a continuous hot water rating.

Does the blue colour change the rating?
