Nitto Air Coupling Male x FBSP

A Nitto style male plug with a female BSP thread, for screwing onto a male threaded outlet. It is the part to order when the equipment presents a male thread and an adaptor would otherwise be needed to reverse it. Stocked as 20PF at 1/4", 30PF at 3/8" and 40PF at 1/2", for industrial, workshop and automotive air lines.

How do I tell a male x FBSP from a male x MBSP?

Look at the back of the plug, not the front. Both are male plugs on the coupling side; this one has an internal female BSP thread and the MBSP version has an external male thread. Order against what the equipment presents.

Is the plug pressurised when it is disconnected?

No, the socket is the half that holds the air. A disconnected plug on the end of a hose vents, which is why sockets go on the fixed side and plugs on the part being swapped.
