Poly Check Valve Strainer

A poly check valve with the strainer built into the same body, so a pump inlet gets one way flow protection and debris screening from a single BSP threaded item instead of two. Five sizes are stocked and the part numbering starts oddly: CVPS is the 20 mm, then CVPS25, CVPS32, CVPS40 and CVPS50 follow the size.

Is this the same as a foot valve?

It does the same two jobs, checking and straining, in a poly body rather than brass. The brass foot valve is the heavier item meant for the bottom of a suction line down a dam or a tank and runs 20 mm to 100 mm; this one covers 20 mm to 50 mm and is the lighter choice on an irrigation line.

Which part number is the 20 mm?

CVPS, with no size digits after it. The rest follow the pattern normally: CVPS25 for 25 mm, CVPS32 for 32 mm, CVPS40 for 40 mm and CVPS50 for 50 mm. It catches people out when they are ordering several sizes off a list.
