Poly Valve

A moulded poly shut off valve for irrigation and general water lines, BSP threaded, in three sizes: IV012 at 12 mm, IV020 at 20 mm and IV025 at 25 mm. It is the light duty option for the places where a brass valve is more valve than the job needs, and where weight on a poly fitting or corrosion outdoors is the real problem.

What pressure will a poly valve take?

The supplier describes it as low to medium duty rather than publishing a figure, so treat it as an irrigation and general water valve. Where a line needs a stated number, the PVC ball valve is published at 800 kPa and the chrome plated brass valves at 2500 kPa.

Is a poly valve the same as a poly check valve?

No. This one you operate by hand to shut a line off. The poly check valve is the one way version, stocked 20 mm to 50 mm, and the poly check valve strainer adds a debris screen inside the same body sizes.
