Relaxn Auto Bilge Pump 1200 GPH 24V Submersible

BP1200A24 is the higher voltage build of the 1200 GPH automatic pump, made for vessels running a 24V system, which on the water usually means a commercial hull or a larger recreational boat with a 24 volt house bank. Flow is approximately 4540 litres per hour and the water sensing control is integrated, so the pump activates itself without an external float switch. The motor is ignition protected, non-burnout and water-cooled, on a stainless steel shaft, with a snap-on strainer base.

Why do commercial boats run 24V?

Higher voltage halves the current for the same power, so cable runs are lighter and voltage drop over a long hull is smaller. It also means every pump, light and fan on board has to be the 24V version, including this one.
