Rubber Lined Pipe Clip

A rubber lined pipe clip mounts and supports a line rather than sealing it. The EPDM lining absorbs impact and vibration, so a pipe or cable held in one does not chatter against its bracket or wear through where it is fixed. The RLC series is used everywhere something has to be held still: automotive, plumbing, construction, marine, electrical and garden equipment.

Compatibility and fitting

• Size on the outside diameter of the pipe, hose or cable being held
• The 6.3 mm hole takes an M6 fastener
• Space clips so the run cannot flex between them, which is what causes chafing
• For sealing a hose onto a fitting you want a hose clamp, not a pipe clip

Is this the same as a hose clamp?

No. A hose clamp squeezes a hose onto a fitting to seal it. A pipe clip holds a line against a surface so it does not move. Using one for the other job will not work.

Will the zinc plating survive outdoors?

Zinc plated steel is fine under a bonnet or indoors. In salt air or constant wet, expect surface corrosion in time and specify stainless if the installation has to last.
