100mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade

100 mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade is clear polyurethane ducting with a copper coated steel helix. It is the standard branch size on a dust extraction system, and the most requested polyurethane bore.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 100 mm ducting fits a 100 mm spigot
• Secure onto spigots with a hose clamp sized to the outside diameter
• Earth the helix at both ends of every section, or the anti-static property does nothing
• Where there is no abrasive material in the airstream, PVC ducting is the cheaper specification

Is medium grade thick enough?

For workshop dust, chip and grain, yes. For heavily abrasive industrial powder moving at speed, there are heavier grades and it is worth asking rather than assuming.

How often should it be inspected?

Look at the outside of the first bend after each machine every few months. That is where the wall goes first, and a clear duct means you can see it thinning before it opens up.
