125mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting

125 mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting is grey PVC ducting reinforced with a steel wire helix. It is a step up from the standard branch, for machines that move more air than a 100 mm line will carry and for short trunk runs feeding two pickups.

Compatibility and fitting

When is 125 mm worth the step up?

When one branch feeds two machines, or when a single machine has a port bigger than 100 mm. Necking a large port down to a small duct throttles the whole system.

Why a steel helix rather than PVC?

Steel holds the bore open against suction. On a long run or a strong extractor, a duct with a softer helix starts to collapse and chokes the airflow, which is the usual reason an extraction system underperforms.
