About Grey Plastiflex Ducting

Grey Plastiflex ducting is made from grey PVC reinforced with a steel wire helix, which is what lets it stay open under suction and still collapse down for storage. It is very light and flexible, and it is the ducting most workshops reach for on air, fume and dust extraction. Hose Suppliers Australia stocks it in eight sizes, cut to length.

Plastiflex ducting sizes we stock

• 50 mm and 75 mm: bench tools, small extractors and hand-held equipment.
• 100 mm and 125 mm: the common sizes for saws, thicknessers and shop dust collectors.
• 150 mm and 200 mm: main runs on a dust extraction system and larger fume hoods.
• 250 mm and 300 mm: plant ventilation, fan and blower ducting.

Every size is available in 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 4 m, 5 m and 6 m lengths.

Choosing the right ducting

• Size: measure the machine spigot and order the same nominal bore.
• Temperature: this ducting runs from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, so keep it away from hot exhaust.
• Duty: for abrasive or static-prone dust, compare it with our polyurethane ducting, and for hot air intake see rubber air intake ducting.
• Clamping: secure each joint with a hose clamp wide enough to sit across the helix.
