125mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade

125 mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade is clear polyurethane ducting with a copper coated steel helix. It is a larger branch or short trunk on a dust system, carrying more volume than a 100 mm line while keeping the abrasion resistance.

• Clear polyurethane wall, so a blockage is visible without pulling the run apart
• Copper coated steel helix, anti-static when bonded to earth
• Abrasion resistance well beyond PVC for sawdust, grain and abrasive powders
• Weather resistant, suiting outdoor and semi exposed runs
• Temperature range -5°C to +80°C

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 125 mm ducting fits a 125 mm spigot
• Fix to spigots with a worm drive clamp behind the helix
• The helix must be bonded to earth to work as an anti-static duct
• Reserve polyurethane for abrasive duty; plain fume and air runs do not need it

Where does a dust duct wear through?

Almost always at the outside of a bend, where the material is thrown against the wall. If you are inspecting a run, look there first.

Can I join two lengths?

Yes, over a spigot or a joiner, clamped both sides. Keep the joint out of a bend, and butt the ends up so there is no step inside for material to catch on.
