12mm Garden Hose

12 mm garden hose made from high grade polymers and manufactured to AS 2620, the Australian standard for garden hose. It is supplied unfitted, so you put your own fittings on and cut it to the length you actually need instead of living with whatever came in the pack.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes standard 12 mm click-on garden fittings, or a brass hose tail with a hose clamp
• Finish with a spray gun or nozzle from the nozzle range
• For wash down duty at higher pressure and volume, use white PVC washdown hose
• Cut with a sharp knife, square, so the fitting seats properly

Why buy hose unfitted?

Because a garden hose almost never fails in the middle. It fails at the fitting, and an unfitted coil lets you cut the damaged end off and refit rather than replace the lot. It also lets you make the length suit the run instead of coiling twenty spare metres by the tap.

What does AS 2620 cover?

It is the Australian standard for garden hose, covering construction, pressure and durability. It is worth checking for, because the cheap hose that goes hard and splits after one summer is usually the hose that never met it.
