About White PVC Washdown Hose
A white washdown hose is the standard in food, dairy and processing areas for a simple reason: dirt and contamination show on it. This reinforced white PVC range is made for wash bays and hose reels, in four bores from 20 mm to 38 mm, cut per metre from 2 m or supplied on a 20 m coil from our Brisbane warehouse.
Sizes of white washdown hose we stock
- 20 mm: the common wash bay size, light enough to drag around a shed all shift.
- 25 mm: more flow for larger areas and longer runs.
- 32 mm: high-volume rinsing in processing plants.
- 38 mm: heavy wash-down and yard cleaning where volume matters most.
Every size is cut to the length you need. Where the water is genuinely hot, use our hot water wash down hose, and see safety yellow PVC hose where a hose has to stand out in a walkway.
Choosing the right washdown hose
- Size: match the bore to the outlet and to how far the hose has to be dragged. Bigger is not always better once weight is counted.
- Temperature: cold and warm water suits this hose; hot water from a boiler needs a rubber hot water hose.
- Length: order the run you need rather than coiling excess on a wet floor.
- Fittings: finish with stainless steel fittings or camlock couplings and a stainless hose clamp.
- Storage: a reel keeps the hose off a wet floor and roughly doubles its working life.
