12mm Hot Water Wash Down Hose

12mm hot water wash down hose (RHW12) carries water to +100 deg C without softening the way a garden hose does, which is why it is the line people buy for a washing machine or laundry tub, a sink feed, or light wash down in a dairy, kitchen or food production area. Tube and cover are both synthetic rubber to RMA Class A for oil resistance, and it is cut from 1m up to 20m so a long machine hose is one piece rather than two hoses and a joiner.

Compatibility and fitting

• Supplied plain ended, so add a tap connector or a nut and tail from the brass and stainless fittings range
• Secure each end with a worm drive clamp from the hose clamp range, sized over the 12mm hose
• Run it to a wash down gun from the hot water gun range, and check the gun's own temperature rating as well as the hose's
• Where you want volume rather than reach, the 20mm size in the hot water wash down hose range is the same construction in a larger bore

Will it fit a washing machine inlet?

The bore is 12mm, the size most laundry taps and machine inlets are built around, but the hose is supplied plain, so the tap connector and the nut and tail are added by you. Measure the thread on the tap and on the machine before ordering fittings, because the two are not always the same.

Is a +100 deg C rating the same as steam?

No. This is rated for hot water to +100 deg C. Steam carries far more energy at the same temperature and needs a purpose-built rubber steam hose instead.
