About Rubber Steam Hose Fabric Reinforced
Fabric reinforced steam hose carries saturated steam for cleaning, curing and process work, and is the lighter of the two steam constructions we stock. The textile reinforcement keeps the hose flexible enough to drag and coil around a plant, which is what most hand-held steam lances need. Sizes and lengths we stock
- 20 mm: hand lances, small cleaning rigs and short jumper lines.
- 25 mm: longer cleaning runs and light plant service lines.
- Cut lengths: 1 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m and 20 m, so you buy only the run you need.
Choosing the right steam hose
- Construction: choose fabric reinforcement for handling and flexibility, and steel wire reinforced steam hose for heavier duty and fixed installations.
- Rating: read the working pressure and temperature on the product page and keep the line well inside it. Steam hose has no margin for guesswork.
- Size: order on inside diameter to match your lance, valve or fitting shank.
- Fittings: use a bolted or interlocking coupling assembly for steam. Ordinary hose clamps are not enough on a hot line.
- Inspection: retire hose showing cover cracking, blisters or soft spots rather than repairing it.
