20mm Rubber Water Delivery Hose

RWD020mm is a 20 mm industrial water hose for the pressure side of a pump, tank or tap. Tube and cover are both black smooth synthetic rubber over a high strength synthetic cord carcass, rated 10 bar (145 psi) and -20 to +80°C. There is no helix in the wall, which is deliberate for a delivery hose and the reason it must never be fitted to a pump inlet: vacuum would pull it flat.

How is this different from a garden hose?

Reinforcement and rating. A garden hose is light PVC for tap pressure. This is a synthetic cord reinforced rubber hose rated 10 bar (145 psi), built for pump discharge and industrial washdown.

Can it run on a pump inlet?

No. A delivery hose has cord for pressure and nothing rigid for vacuum, so it flattens the moment a pump draws through it. Use a suction hose with a steel wire helix on the inlet.
