250mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting

250 mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting is grey PVC ducting reinforced with a steel wire helix. It is one of the largest bores stocked, used on collector inlets and trunk lines where the volume is beyond what a 200 mm duct will carry.

Compatibility and fitting

Is it a two person job to install?

Usually. At 250 mm the coil is heavy and unwieldy even though the duct itself is light, so plan the run and the supports before opening the coil.

Why a steel helix rather than PVC?

Steel holds the bore open against suction. On a long run or a strong extractor, a duct with a softer helix starts to collapse and chokes the airflow, which is the usual reason an extraction system underperforms.
