300 mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting is grey PVC ducting reinforced with a steel wire helix. It is the largest Plastiflex bore we stock, for collector inlets and main plant trunks where the system moves serious volume.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 300 mm ducting fits a 300 mm spigot
• Clamp to spigots with a worm drive clamp or a duct clip
• For abrasive material such as sawdust and grain, polyurethane ducting lasts far longer

Does a duct this size still collapse?

It can, and it matters more here because the surface area is larger. Support it properly, keep bends away from the fan inlet, and do not run it further than the system was designed for.

Why a steel helix rather than PVC?

Steel holds the bore open against suction. On a long run or a strong extractor, a duct with a softer helix starts to collapse and chokes the airflow, which is the usual reason an extraction system underperforms.
