32mm Safety Yellow PVC Hose

32 mm, stock code PHS32, is where the range moves from hand tool work to real transfer duty. The extra bore is bought for one reason: on a long run the pressure drop through a 25 mm hose starts to show at the outlet, and 32 mm gets it back. Outside diameter is 42 mm. The rating does not change with the bore, still 1.6 MPa (230 psi) at 20°C to AS/NZS 2554 with a 4:1 safety factor, and the coil options step to 20 m, 30 m and 60 m.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes a 32 mm tail or camlock; band clamps must suit the 42 mm outside diameter
• At this bore a full hose of water is heavy, so support it rather than letting it hang on the fitting
• Other bores are on yellow PVC hose, and clamps on hose clamps

Does a bigger bore lower the pressure rating?

Not in this range. Every size from 20 mm to 50 mm carries the same 1.6 MPa (230 psi) working pressure at 20°C, so choose the bore on flow and pressure drop rather than on the rating.
