38mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade

38 mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade is clear polyurethane ducting with a copper coated steel helix. It is the finest bore in the polyurethane range, used where a small abrasive pickup would wear a PVC duct through in months.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 38 mm ducting fits a 38 mm spigot
• Clamp to spigots with a worm drive clamp
• Bond the copper coated helix to earth; it is only anti-static if it is actually earthed
• For plain air and fume with no abrasive content, grey PVC ducting costs less and lasts as long

Why polyurethane on such a small duct?

Because a small bore concentrates the abrasion. The same powder that takes years to wear a 150 mm duct will cut through a 38 mm PVC line at the first bend.

Can I run it round a tight bend?

At 38 mm it will take a fairly tight radius, but every bend is where abrasive material hits the wall. Keep bends as gentle as the layout allows and expect to inspect them first.
