38mm Rubber Water Suction Hose

RWS038mm is the 38 mm (1.5") rubber suction hose, the inlet size for a 1.5 inch fire-fighting or transfer pump. It is built the way an inlet hose has to be built: high strength synthetic cord for pressure, plus a steel wire helix so the bore cannot be pulled shut by the pump. Rated 10 bar (145 psi) and -20 to +80°C, with a black smooth rubber cover that handles being dragged to the water.

Which side of the pump does this hose go on?

The inlet. Suction hose carries a steel wire helix so vacuum cannot collapse the bore. Anything without that helix, including layflat and delivery hose, belongs on the outlet only.

Is 38 mm the same as 1.5 inch?

Yes. 38 mm is the metric size for a 1.5 inch bore, and fittings sold under either label suit this hose. Match the hose to the pump inlet rather than to a fitting already on the shelf.
