50mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade

50 mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade is clear polyurethane ducting with a copper coated steel helix. It is a small bore abrasion resistant duct for powder and dust pickup on machines and portable units.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 50 mm ducting fits a 50 mm spigot
• Fix to spigots with a worm drive clamp behind the helix
• The helix must be bonded to earth to work as an anti-static duct
• Reserve polyurethane for abrasive duty; plain fume and air runs do not need it

Is the clear wall useful?

Very. A blockage in an opaque duct is found by pulling the run apart. In a clear duct you can see exactly where it is, which on a dust system saves a lot of time.

How is it cut to length?

With a sharp knife through the wall and cutters through the helix, then dress the cut end so the wire does not catch. Leave the helix slightly proud so the clamp has something to bite behind.
