63mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade

63 mm Polyurethane Ducting Medium Grade is clear polyurethane ducting with a copper coated steel helix. It is a mid small bore for machine pickups on dust and chip systems, where abrasion rather than airflow decides the material.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 63 mm ducting fits a 63 mm spigot
• Clamp to spigots with a worm drive clamp
• Bond the copper coated helix to earth; it is only anti-static if it is actually earthed
• For plain air and fume with no abrasive content, grey PVC ducting costs less and lasts as long

Does the copper helix earth itself?

No. It is anti-static only when it is bonded to earth. An unearthed anti-static duct is just a duct, and on fine dust that is a real risk rather than a technicality.

Will it take heat from a grinder?

Up to +80°C continuous, which covers warm dust and swarf. Hot sparks are different: they can burn through any plastic duct, so use a spark arrestor or metal duct at the source.
