75mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting

75 mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting is grey PVC ducting reinforced with a steel wire helix. It is a small bore for tool and machine pickups, and the usual size for the flexible tail between a fixed duct and a moving machine head.

Why use flexible duct at the machine?

Because the machine moves and the fixed duct does not. A short flexible tail absorbs that movement, which is why the last metre of almost every extraction run is flexible.

Why a steel helix rather than PVC?

Steel holds the bore open against suction. On a long run or a strong extractor, a duct with a softer helix starts to collapse and chokes the airflow, which is the usual reason an extraction system underperforms.
