Blue Silicone Radiator/Intercooler Hose & Clamp Kits

Each kit is a short blue silicone joiner with two stainless steel T-bolt style hose clamps in the box, so a radiator or intercooler joint can be made up without hunting for the right clamp band separately. The hose is a 4 ply high performance silicone with nylon reinforcement, rated -50 to 150°C, and every kit is 3" (75 mm) long. Bores available are 38 mm, 44 mm, 50 mm, 57 mm, 63 mm and 75 mm, under stock codes SILJKB38 through SILJKB75.

Compatibility and fitting

• Order by the outside diameter of the pipe the joiner slides over, which is the bore quoted here
• T-bolt clamps hold silicone better than a worm drive, which can cut into the ply under load
• Longer straight lengths and elbows are on blue silicone radiator and intercooler hose

Why T-bolt clamps rather than worm drive?

A T-bolt spreads its load evenly around a soft silicone wall and holds a higher clamping force without deforming it. A worm drive concentrates load in the slots and can bite through the outer ply on a boost joint.

Is silicone suitable for fuel or oil?

No. These kits are for coolant and charge air. Silicone swells in fuel and oil, so a joint carrying either needs a nitrile-lined hose instead.
