Stainless Steel & Nylon Scoop Strainers

A sea scoop sits over a raw water intake on the outside of the hull and faces forward, so the boat's movement helps feed the intake while the slotted face keeps weed and larger debris out of it. Six are stocked, in stainless steel and in nylon polymer, across small, medium and large, and each variant states the intake sizes it suits rather than a single nominal bore.

Compatibility and fitting

• Choose by the intake size the scoop has to cover, using the sizes listed on each variant
• The scoop mounts over the skin fitting, so the through-hull itself comes from skin fittings and marine products
• Keep materials consistent at the penetration: stainless scoop with stainless fitting where possible

Which scoop suits my intake?

Match the listed size. Intakes at 1/2" to 1" take the small stainless, 1 1/4" takes the medium nylon, 1 1/2" and 2" the large nylon, 2" to 3" the medium stainless, and 4" the large stainless.
