Poly Hose Tail x Bsp female

A poly hose tail with a fixed female BSP thread: the barb takes the hose and the female thread winds onto a male stub, so it lands straight on a pump outlet or a tank nipple without an adaptor. Ten sizes are stocked, from P10NB1212 at 1/2" x 1/2" up to P10NB5050 at 2" x 2", including mismatched combinations such as 3/4" x 1/2" and 1" x 1 1/2".

Compatibility and fitting

• Tail size and thread size do not have to match: P10NB2012 is a 3/4" tail on a 1/2" thread, and mixing them is normal rather than a mistake
• Clamp the hose over the barb — hose clamps
• Seal the thread with tape or paste; poly threads are tapered and should be nipped up, not forced

Female tail or male tail?

Look at the fitting you are joining. A male stub, such as a pump outlet, needs this female tail. A threaded hole needs a male tail instead. That single check is the most common reason a hose tail is ordered twice.
