Tru Design Aqua Valve & Fittings For Toilet Systems

The Tru Design Aqua Valve is a 1 1/2" BSP diverting valve for toilet systems, part BVAQUA, used where a discharge has to be switched between two destinations such as a holding tank and an overboard outlet. It is sold alongside the matching hose tails, so the valve and the fittings that screw into it can be ordered together rather than assembled from whatever thread is on the shelf.

• P3NB4040A: 1 1/2" BSP male x 1 1/2" hose tail, straight
• P3NB2540A: 1 1/2" BSP male x 1" hose tail, straight
• P6NB4040A and P6NB2540A: the same two tails at 90 degrees
• P6NB4040SA and P6NB2540SA: the same two tails at 120 degrees
• Nominal sizes 40 mm on the valve thread and 25 mm or 40 mm on the tail

Applications

• Diverting marine toilet discharge between holding tank and outlet
• Industrial diverting duty on a 1 1/2" BSP line
• Refits where the run has to turn immediately off the valve
• New toilet installations plumbed in 25 mm or 40 mm hose

Compatibility and fitting

• All tails take a 1 1/2" BSP male thread, so any of them will screw into the valve regardless of hose size
• Pick the tail by hose bore first: 1" for a 25 mm line, 1 1/2" for a 40 mm line
• Sanitation hose in those bores is in white marine sanitation hose
• Vented loops belong upstream of the outlet: see skin fittings and marine products
• Clamp each tail with two stainless bands from the Tridon range

Which tail angle should I order?

Straight where there is room to run the hose away from the valve, 90 degrees where it has to turn hard against a bulkhead, and 120 degrees where a full right angle would kink the hose. The thread is 1 1/2" BSP male on all six.
