63mm Black Rubber Air intake Ducting

63 mm is the top of the small-bore band, the size used for extraction arms, engine and compressor intake, and the flexible section on mobile plant. It bends tightly because the outside wall is corrugated and the helix holds the bore open behind it, which is what a duct routed round a machine frame needs. Note the supplier's scope: dust, chip, air intake and non combustible fume extraction.

Compatibility and fitting

• 63 mm ducting fits a 63 mm spigot; the figure is the bore
• Clamp it in a valley of the corrugation with a worm drive band from the clamp range
• For a duct you can see through, look at polyurethane ducting
• Larger workshop drops start at 75 mm in this same range

How tight a bend will it take?

Tighter than a smooth-wall duct of the same bore, because each corrugation lets the outside wall stretch while the helix keeps the inside from folding. Push it far enough and it will still crush, so support the run rather than relying on the hose to hold a corner.

Is the 10 m coil the same hose?

Yes, DRFH063 either way. The coil is simply the length that suits a run you want to make in one piece with no joins in it.
