All productsAbout Pneumatic Rubber Air Hose Assemblies
Air hose assemblies are the finished pneumatic lines that run from the compressor to the tool: a length of air hose, a fitting clamped on each end, and a quick connect coupling so the tool can be swapped in seconds. Hose Suppliers Australia makes them up in Brisbane from stock hose and fittings, or you can buy the parts and build your own.
Types of air hose and fittings we stock
- Blue and yellow PVC air hose: the standard reinforced workshop air hose, sold by the metre in the bores used on compressors, nail guns, impact wrenches and spray equipment.
- Nitto quick connect couplings: male and female couplings with hose tail or BSP thread ends, so tools and hoses can be swapped without a spanner.
- Hose tails, nipples and adaptors: from our brass fittings range for connecting hose to regulators, manifolds and tool inlets.
- Hose clamps: to secure each hose tail.
Choosing the right air hose assembly
- Bore: bigger bore means less pressure drop. Choose a larger bore for high-demand tools and long runs, and a smaller, lighter bore for a hand tool on a short lead.
- Length: keep runs as short as practical; every extra metre costs pressure at the tool.
- End fittings: match the thread on your compressor outlet and the coupling pattern on your tools. Nitto is the common Australian pattern.
- Pressure: check the hose working pressure on the product page against your compressor setting.
