About Blue/Yellow PVC Air Hose
Blue and yellow PVC air hose is the everyday workshop airline: flexible enough to drag around a hoist, bright enough to see on a cluttered floor, and cheap enough to replace when it finally gets run over once too often. 10mm air hose is the size most tools are plumbed for, and we stock it alongside 6, 8, 12, 20 and 25 mm, cut to length from our Brisbane warehouse or supplied on a 20 metre coil.
Sizes of PVC air hose we stock
- 6 mm and 8 mm: blow guns, tyre inflators and light bench work where a small, easily coiled hose suits.
- 10 mm: the standard workshop drop for rattle guns, air ratchets and general tool use.
- 12 mm: longer runs and thirstier tools, where 10 mm starts to drop pressure at the tool.
- 20 mm and 25 mm: compressor outlet leads, ring mains and blasting or high-volume feeds.
Every size comes in two, five, eight, 10 and 15 metre cut lengths or a 20 metre coil.
Choosing the right air hose
- Size: match the hose inside diameter to the tail or coupling, and size up on long runs to hold pressure at the tool.
- Length: buy the length you need rather than dragging a full coil around; every extra metre costs a little pressure.
- Fittings: fit Nitto quick connect couplings or a brass fitting on a hose tail, secured with a clamp.
- Duty: compressed air only. Fuel, oil and solvent need a hose with a compatible tube.
- Clamping: use a worm-drive clamp from our hose clamps range sized over the hose on the tail.
